A Few Words

About Us

Brings 20 Years of Experience to Canada

In traditional architecture, a Hashti is a beautiful, octagonal vestibule designed to welcome guests, preserve the privacy of the home, and naturally adapt to climate conditions. Historically, its walls and ceilings were precisely crafted to reflect the unique values, beliefs, and identity of the owner.

As a family-based design and planning practice working together since 2001, we chose this name because it perfectly reflects our philosophy. Since immigrating to Canada in 2019 and establishing our roots in Ottawa, we have dedicated ourselves to creating spaces that do exactly what a traditional Hashti does: blend welcoming, functional design with strict privacy, environmental awareness, and a deep respect for our clients’ unique identities.

With over 25 years of professional design and planning experience, I specialize in custom residential new builds, extensions, and commercial remodels. My practice focuses on turning complex spatial challenges into beautiful, functional, and highly valuable spaces for local property owners.

Most recently, I served as an onsite Designer and Contract Administrator (CA) with NORR Architects for one of Canada’s major landmark restorations: the West Memorial Building rehabilitation project in Ottawa. This high-profile experience ensures that your project benefits from a master-level understanding of complex structural demands and strict technical documentation.

A great design is useless if it cannot get permitted. I am an expert in the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and track Ottawa’s changing municipal zoning by-laws. Before proposing any design, I conduct exhaustive, deep-dive regulatory research to ensure your project is completely feasible, optimized, and set up for smooth municipal approvals.

As a professional member of both the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (MRAIC) and the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), I offer a unique advantage. I seamlessly blend creative architectural design with strict technical code compliance and heritage preservation—safeguarding local character while delivering modern, legally sound spaces. From the initial feasibility study to the final walkthrough, I ensure a transparent, stress-free process for property owners and builders alike.
